Tricky Week Ahead

So here we go.  I HAD A GREAT WEEK ON PLAN!  Naturally, that means the upcoming week has some challenges.  Happens every stinkin' time I get back on track, right?  I will have to maneuver around this carefully because I am NOT willing to gain all my weight back once more!

Monday will be a regular day.  No issues there.

Tuesday, the husband and I are going to have our Valentine's date.  Mother-in-law is coming over at 10:30 am to watch the kids.  Hubby worked Saturday and will work again this Saturday so that he could take Tuesday off.  We are going to our favorite Mexican restaurant, and will probably end up at The Marble Slab for ice cream.  I'm really looking forward to it!  I read online not to go to Fleet for Feet on a weekend, so we are going to go there as part of our date, too, so I can get some new shoes finally.  Yay!  I hope I find some that I love at a decent price.  Tuesday night, I will plan to just eat a Smart Ones meal and maybe kale chips as supper when I get hungry.

Wednesday, we are having ham for supper.  I know this may sound silly, but a "real" ham off the bone is just nearly irresistible to me.  I have big issues controlling myself.  Also, I bought rolls for this meal because my husband loves rolls with his ham.  Actually, he loves bread with EVERY meal, but I've just quit buying it because it is such a points waster for me.  He understand, so he doesn't complain.  I got a $24 ham on sale for $9.  Whoopee!  I love to put my ham on the rolls and eat it like a sandwich, so I grabbed some rolls.  I couldn't find the WhiteWheat that I used to buy at either of the stores I went to Friday.  I will have trouble eating a normal portion of ham and only one roll.  I will really have to reign in the self control.

Thursday is Valentine's Day.  Although we don't "go all out," the kids love the holiday.  No pun intended.  They wake up to a few little goodies and a small box of chocolates at their space at the table.  We use heart plates and I decorate things with reds and pinks.  It's just a fun day for them.  They expect it to be special.  Since we are trying to eat out way, way less, I knew I didn't want to be at a restaurant on Vday night racking up more calories.  To make things special, I decided to cook chocolate chip pancakes for supper that night.  We will also have scrambled eggs and turkey bacon.  For dessert, I am serving vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and heart sprinkles.

Friday is just another regular day.  We are going to have lunch out at Subway that day because it's the day of our home school group and hubby will be away for lunch.

I plan to cook at home this Saturday.

Looks like Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be my challenging days.  I plan to eat as close to my daily target (now 33 points+) every day this week except for Tuesday and possibly Thursday.  I plan to exercise 4 days again this week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

I was able to end my week on plan, which is a big deal for me.  I even counted up points for everything eaten at Cracker Barrel yesterday and was shocked to still have 14 weeklies left!

It just makes me feel happy and confident to be LOSING weight instead of gaining it.  Losing is really hard work, but the benefits far outweigh what you get when you stuff your face all the time.  I need to remember this!

Back to the regular "work week" tomorrow!  Boo!
