Back At It

Long time no write!  I am so happy in so many ways to be back here typing to you guys!  Thanks for putting up with me when I'm doing great and when I'm a rebel!  Lol

I really, REALLY dreaded stepping on the scale today.  This past Saturday was the first one since blogging again that I decided to ignore the scales.  I knew it would be bad.  Rather than face it, I just ignored it.  I knew Saturday and Sunday wouldn't be easy days to get back on track, so why bother knowing!  Not the wisest approach, but that's the truth of it.

I can't tell you how relieved I was to step on the scale this morning and only see 217.0.  Before I stepped on, I had myself mentally prepared to see 222.0.  I don't know why that number, but that's the number I had expected to see today.

Somehow, seeing the 217.0 made me feel motivated to get back on track!  Maybe it was all just a trick from God and when I step on tomorrow it will say 219 or so.  LOL  But whatever - it worked for today.  I tracked every bite and took pics to share.

We had such a long weekend, that I decided to forget the schedule and let us all sleep in today.  Hubby left for work at 7:30, and next thing I know I'm waking back up at nearly 9:30 am!  It felt great, though.  I got right up and got started.  We still got in a whole school day in both grades, and I managed to have every meal at home despite not packing lunches last night.

The reason I didn't pack lunches last night was because I was grocery shopping until 11:30 pm.  I had to catch up on missing out on shopping this weekend!

Breakfast this morning was a wheat bagel thin toasted and topped with 1 microwave egg, a 2% cheese slice, and 2 turkey sausage patties.  I also had a banana.

Since I didn't pack lunches last night and we were running crazy today after sleeping in, lunch was deemed to be frozen food!  I had 2 Smart Ones burgers with ketchup and pickles.  I also had 28 grams Baked Ruffles. Never thought to eat a f/v!

Around 4:00 pm, we all needed a snack.  I grabbed a box of Fiber One brownies and handed them out.  I'm glad they're all gone now so that I can't fall back on them all week for a snack.

Supper tonight was Mrs. Paul's baked tilapia, half of a gigantuous potato topped with Smart Balance spread and FF sour cream, and broccoli with 14 grams of 2% cheese scattered over it and the potato.

A while later, I was truly hungry.  I decided on a mini bag of 94% FF kettle corn and a VitaCake topped with 1 tsp of peanut butter.

In a nutshell:  I did great on my water today.  I was worried I wouldn't want to choke it down, but I didn't have any issues drinking it.  I have only had 3 f/v servings today.  I may eat an apple after I sign off here.  For a first day back, though, I am really pleased.  It is always so, so hard to get back on track after coming off of several bad days.  The kids have homeschool yearbook pictures tomorrow and have to be there for their group music photo at 11:50 am.  Then there's music lessons at 2:15 pm.  A friend and I are having lunch at Burger King after photos.  I need to go to their site and find a salad or something healthy to have instead of a burger and fries.  I plan to get up tomorrow and do a 1-mile walk and get our day going early since we have a lot to accopmlish.  Sorry for the long hiatus.  It's good to be back!
