I'm happy to report 100% tracking on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I'm happy to report that at lunch with a friend today, I chose a salad and didn't touch a single golden french fry. I'm happy to report that even though I had a headache and felt blah, I washed the dishes and then cut up chicken and fixed supper. Woohoo for any victories, right? I am so looking forward to my first 5 lbs off!
Breakfast was a chicken sausage on a Healthy Life bun with 14 grams of RF mayo and an apple. Very yummy. Love those chicken sausages. Instead of water, I tried a new Crystal Light flavor. It is strawberry banana orange or something like that. It was good and passed for a breakfast beverage.

I didn't eat again until lunch. My friend's son picked McDonald's. I had the grilled chicken Southwest salad with Southwestern ranch. Not sure why, but this particular McD's bombs out on this salad. The carrots are a bare minimum (as you can see), the chicken is lots of fatty pieces that can't be eaten, and there were no crispy tortilla pieces on top (I deducted 1 points+ for that, too, I'll have you know). I love, love, love this salad at all the other McD's locations I've tried. I just plain hate our local McD's. It's never good to me. Thankfully, we have another one just one town over that is much better. This salad was a disappointment.

After getting back from a homeschooling thing, I had a Cutie and some pistachios.

Then I made myself start washing dishes. I sooooo didn't want to. But I'm glad I did. Supper tonight was Asian Helper. I tweak it and don't use as much oil as it calls for to cook the chicken. Then I don't put in any oil at all for cooking the eggs like it says to. It's not a healthy meal, but I try to cut back here and there and bulk up in ways to make it a better option. I had 1-1/4 cups of the Asian Helper mixed with stir fry veggies cooked in olive oil. I also had a Chung's egg roll with sauce.

There was a little bit of egg nog ice cream left from Saturday. It's really a miracle that it made it this long with Staci in the house! I wasn't thinking anything about it, but my two oldest daughters asked if they could have some of it tonight. I got out a child's bowl for myself and measured out 65 grams. I just have to say, 65 grams of ice cream is a pitiful portion! Do not let this picture food you! LOL Stacy's Pita Chips has gingerbread flavor only at Christmastime. I bought some last week when they were on sale. I measured out 28 grams because the combo of the egg nog with the ginger chips is amazing. I ate slowly and took time to enjoy each bite.

Two or so hours later, I realized I needed another f/v today. I decided to cook the rest of the squash and zucchini that was in the fridge. I didn't cook it in olive oil since I was already up in points for the day. I did, however, top it with 14 grams 2% Colby Jack once I realized I hadn't had any dairy servings today (unless you count the ice cream, hehe).

In a nutshell: Only 6 points over for the day. I feel good about that. I did have Diet Dr. Pepper today at McD's, but I don't feel bad because fountain DDP doesn't hook me. This may be weird, but it's the crack of the can and the taste of the DDP coming from the can. To me, it's just different than poured over ice in a cup. Yeah, crazy maybe. I stuck with water the rest of the day except for a diet green tea with supper. Got in 80 oz of water. I'm ending the day feeling positive. Tomorrow is weigh-in. I won't see any amazing, big number since I've only been back on program since Wednesday, but as of this morning I have a loss and down is the direction I want to be headed. Happy weekend!
Good luck with your weigh-in and congrats on the tracking. When I am tracking my food, I seem to stay on plan better and that's the plan for this weekend.
ReplyDeleteGood choices! I have a sink full of dishes to do... So I applaud you for keeping up with yours! Lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on three good days of eating and tracking. The first three days always seem to be the hardest. You've got this!
ReplyDeleteok two things LOL First, I would be SO tiffed if my crunchy things were left off my salad!! lol I love that salad though its sooo yummy!! And then second that desert LOOKS AMAZING!!! I am going to look for those chips lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats on good choices!! You can do this!! It all looked delicious!!
ReplyDeleteyay for keeping up the tracking! woohoo! And so not cool that there were barely any carrots on that salad!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. You post sounds like you are in a much better place mentally. I hope that is true. For me, that is the hardest part of the battle. Once I'm in a good place in my head, it is easier somehow to make better choices.

Tracking is always the key for me too. I don't do WW but I track calories, so great work. I would say only being over a few points is good becasue you are staying aware! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteGreat job tracking everything! I can't wait to get back home and go back to my routine. Until then, mindful eating while on vacation is my goal.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
What a great day!
